The New Year Ahead of Growth and Possibility for Trauma-Resilient
Educational Communities!
Happy New Year from all of us at TREC! In this year of new possibilities, we are excited to keep up our momentum in creating more trauma-resilient communities. Your continued interest in TREC has really helped sustain us as we strengthen the foundation of our programs while finding new ways to reach and engage more people.
In our first year, we trained educators, counselors, school organizations, healthcare workers, parents, and caregivers. These programs will continue to thrive as we add additional opportunities for justice system professionals, entry-level employees, and other workplace professionals to gain access to customized TREC training. By continuing our mission to empower more individuals and organizations with the tools they need to foster trauma resilience, we are taking another step toward a better world for all!
TREC is positioned to make 2025 an expansive year, and we thank you for supporting our mission to promote trauma resilience and positive change!
Here are some highlights for the new year:
As the calendar turned to 2025, we are delighted to be in the final stages of completing the planning for our in-person TREC Wellness Retreat! After years of gathering virtually due to the pandemic, we are excited to bring together our incredible community in person for a transformative experience of healing and growth.
We will continue to raise awareness of our training programs by sharing free trauma-related resources on our website, newsletters, and social media. TREC representatives will also participate in community events, including the Trauma2Resilience and the Trauma-Informed Learning Community Series.
Part of our focus on professional development for staff and community organizations is in recognizing the strides being made by those becoming Trauma-Resilient Professionals. We will publicly acknowledge those milestones through awards and recognition ceremonies.
TREC leadership will continue to participate in judicial and legislative discussions on trauma-resilient informed care, such as the historic community event in San Diego last year. Members of the court and community came together to discuss preventing youth gang involvement, making resources available for mental health and trauma recovery, and supporting trauma-resilient education. We plan to do more of this in the year to come.
We will enhance our strategy to build strong strategic alliances, which will help amplify impact and increase TREC program adoption, partnering with schools, professional associations, government agencies, and healthcare networks to offer and integrate trauma-resilience training into their frameworks.
It looks to be a great new year with significant opportunities to continue building more resilient communities. We sincerely appreciate your support of our mission to promote healing-centered relationships that create positive change!
