The struggles adults face often begin in childhood. TREC brings the healing process to the classroom.

Since launching our Trauma-Resilient Professional Certification program, TREC has witnessed a meaningful transformation in our partner schools, and we have been proud to expand our offerings to include certifications for parents, guardians, and healthcare professionals. The science of childhood trauma is clear: unaddressed childhood trauma doesn’t disappear. It follows us into adulthood, shaping how we learn, connect, and show up in our work and relationships.

When we look at our youth, we see future colleagues and community members. Healing childhood trauma today builds stronger communities tomorrow.

In this issue of our newsletter, we’re highlighting the powerful work being done in partnership with Learn4Life Schools. Within these schools, TREC healing-centered practices are embedded in the daily curriculum. Every employee receives foundational training in trauma-informed practices and earns credentials through our organizational accreditation program.

These dedicated educators are not only helping students thrive academically, they are also clearing the emotional and psychological barriers that can block learning altogether. They’ve also learned how to care for themselves and each other in the process, which is an essential part of maintaining a resilient and supportive school culture.

When we look at our youth, we see more than students. We see future colleagues, leaders, and community members. Investing in their healing today means building stronger, healthier communities tomorrow. The more individuals we train and support —whether they be students, parents, or working adults, the closer we get to interrupting the cycle of trauma—once and for all.

Here's an overview of the healing-centered practices offered through TREC that are guiding instruction and programs in Learn4Life Schools:
